The Only Wasted Vote is a Vote for Republicans or Democrats

The Democrats and Republicans do not represent us.  It is time we took a stand in 2010. For years now I have been voting third parties. Some would urge you to not vote at all and would give some great reasons why not to vote in 2010. I am in no way going to try to oppose their stance. Vote for Nobody is a wonderful idea. I however am addicted to the political game. I follow congress and candidates. The only wasted vote is a vote for Republicans and Democrats. To support the ruling class is counter productive for everyone in every part of the political spectrum. Please I urge you to join us in creating real change. We can begin changing through many means, but one thing we can do is stop repeating the same mistakes we have been making every election. Every November we go to the ballot boxes with our selective amnesia.

Progressive liberals and libertarian liberals will find nothing in the two parties aside from a rich privileged class maintaining their control and handing it over to the corporations they serve. Often the majority votes for nobody. This in itself is a show of how we do not have democracy in the united states. If the majority votes for nobody why is there nobody in power? The numbers are there. Let us look also at those who do believe in government of some form. Those who may be minarchist, socialist, green, syndicalist, communist, libertarian, progressive or any other stance.  The Duopoly does not represent you or your belief. We must stop wasting our vote on the ruling elite. If you cast your vote in 2010 please I beg of you to look to where your votes are most needed. This is with third parties.

There are parties that more accurately reflect your philosophy views and desires. They need the numbers and support. Why are we dumping money and efforts to the two that always win? Why are we giving our efforts to the wealthy elite that rule this country?

I challenge you to look for a party that needs your support. Please look at:

I can tell you that these are just a few to check out. Please consider them. I would love for you all to vote libertarian which I most often do, but I realize that there are a plethora of views out there and this is not a defense of libertarianism.  This is a push to move away from the Republicrats that rule this country with an iron fist.  If you are still looking for something more then you can find a good list on Wikipedia of third parties in the U.S. Here.

A vote for nobody is not a wasted vote. A vote for a third party is not a wasted vote. The only wasted vote is a vote for a Republican or a Democrat. I hope you all will throw your support behind the values you hold and not the corporatism of Pfizer, Monsanto, Goldman Sacks, The DNC or The GOP. What about that Hope and Change? It’s not with the elite ruling class of the United States.

I have not brought myself to be a non-voter just yet, so in conclusion I wish to say that I will be voting mostly for Libertarian candidates in 2010. I will also look at other third parties if there is not a Libertarian candidate or I feel the candidate is just a conservative in the LP. I already know that I will be voting for Cisse Spraigans for Senate in 2010. I will not come out to support many candidates personally.  I got burned by supporting certain candidates here on Gonzo Times. I have come out and supported individuals who have turned around and done or said things I completely opposed which made me really think twice before supporting anyone, so when I come out for an individual candidate I want to be sure I won’t have to go through that again or have to retract my words. I have spoken to Cisse about many of her views and I can say this is a woman who I can support.
