Byrd is the word.

Dropping off the radar is some what of a cathartic exercise for me. I cease to respond to the reality at hand if it is outside of my purview, which allows me to concentrate on pressing personal matters which must be attended to. Fortunately all of that is wrapped up now and I have a little more time to get back into commenting on current events from a post-left Agorist view.
What could possibly bring me back and hijack time that could be spent with family or building a technological infrastructure for various enterprises? Well just the most awesome set of circumstances to come along in some time! McChrystal gets canned, Sen. Byrd dies, and the SCOTUS pretends to be on the side of individual freedom. I keep refreshing the news feeds to see if my smug visage needs adjustment. Smug is my mug as I keep reading; Kagan and Petraeus get to be soft-balled by the council of thieves soon, which may result in another incident of the General passing out, as pictured above.
I hope MoveOn.org is eating crow, since their boy wonder in the Whitehouse tapped (who MoveOn labeled) General Betray-Us as the savior of imperial foreign policy in Afghanistan. Petraeus enters the fray in place of Stanley McChrystal, who pulled a major no-no by letting his aides speak relatively frankly with regards to the regime of robbers in Washington DC. Considering the nature of modern conflict and politics, he pulled off what could be at best considered a Pyrrhic victory in the war on truth. Stanley received credit for a raid of little importance where little was risked, and now the squawking and breast clutching from the militant imperialists (in both parties) has enshrined this deed as some noble act of rebellion against the much maligned Barry Soetoro. The plain and simple fact is, McChrystal wanted to get himself out of Afghanistan before he achieved the same tarnished legacy of General Westmoreland. The easy way is to let your close friends talk shit in Rolling Stone, so you can pretend you never voted for Obama when your own presidential ticket is on the line in 2012.
Don’t you know, about the Byrd? Long time racist, KKK member and more than quarter century wealth redistribution network trench digger… is dead. Yes, at age 92 one can truly say with a straight face that only the good die young. For decades now, this bigot has blocked the nomination of blacks and seen that massive sums of Federally confiscated cash gets siphoned into the open mouths of the corporate whores and politically entrenched in his state of West Virginia. How else could one stay afloat in this empire of lies without ensuring the employment of your state by making sure coal mining laws are lax and that the Federal jobs keep your bloated constituents with plenty of white sheets and pointed hats.
What bad things could I possibly say about the SCOTUS ruling on McDonald vs. City of Chicago? Same damn things I said about Heller vs. DC. The ruling reflects the opinion of government lawyers who as a matter of course ALWAYS decide in favor of the government. With soft language the high court claims that the rights enumerated in the constitution are not absolute and that states can unbundle them within reason. Which is akin to saying that the 2nd Amendment has absolutely no legal authority unless the court says it does. The court did decide in favor of Mr. McDonald, but the opinion of the court still affirmed the ultimate power of government over those whom they squat. Without question, the back door has been left wide open for future justices to consume what little rights are left.
The news feeds keep ticking along, the coffee pot keeps dripping and the world keeps spinning. Thats good enough for me, for now.
