What is Truth?
I am told will never reach Anarchy. Why continue? If that is so we must teach others about Anarchism.
I often receive criticisms for writing what I write. I get a great deal of hate mail. People do not see why I continue to write against the state in favor of alternatives. Even if society were not making the evolution towards anarchism this dialogue would be necessary.
I was not born an anarchist. I did not grow up with anarchism. I did not become an anarchist until later in life. I drifted away from the left-right paradigm of U.S. politics in my 20′s. I became a relatively conservative minarchist libertarian. In the Marines I began to question more than ever the structure of society. It was many influences in my life that led me to anarchism. I did not easily turn to anarchism. There was a while there where I began to like the ideas of anarchism and I could not bring myself to fully embrace it. I was under the belief that there was a necessity for government. I did not see that other options were available. I was with the rest of society. I grew up under the state was taught by the schools of the state and served in the military of the state. The only messages I received were variants of the necessity of the state and how the U.S. was sacred and somehow superior.
When I finally embraced anarchism I saw that reality was not on the side of the state. I saw the reality of what the state truly was. Pilate’s discussion with Christ is one I particularly like in scripture. In John 18:38, a simple phrase ‘What is truth?’ After a discussion of kingdoms and authorities and Christ rejecting the Authority of the state Pilate asked this simple question and returned to his legal system. One rejected the power and authority of the state as he was slaughtered by the state and this is the point in that the bible asked that simple question ‘What is truth?’ That simple statement taken from the bible is one that can take a person a lifetime to answer. I hope that in all things I will continue to honor the truth. This is my turn to anarchism, truth. This battle to reveal the state and society as it truly is is necessary simply to lift the veil of lies many can not see past. This is necessary to help us see the distortions of truth that are all around.
In learning truth I began to see the state and society as what it truly was. One of the biggest things that I started to see was the lie that we all lived. I saw people rushing off to their churches saying they hate ‘murder’ and protesting abortion clinics as they hold up the murderer that is the state. There was a desire for many to live comfortably blind to the reality of their society and nation. They did not wish to see truth. I began to see the abusive nature of the state much like an abusive relationship of a man to his wife or children. There was a strong desire to blame the victims and to falsely honor the power derived from force and fear of the abusive patriarch. What is truth? I could write forever on the truth that I have seen. I do write many times a week here on this site about the veil that is over our eyes. I try to get people to see past the lies that we have been raised to believe.
I see many reactions to my words. To some it is blasphemy to their state and religion. Those come out with the common reactionary responses. There are many. Some would say that I should also devote myself to their god the state or I should leave the land mass it occupies. Some would call me weak. Some would say I am a fool for not embracing the way things are. Some just say ‘stop complaining’. Most of these reactions I see as telling. They show someones complete misunderstanding of what I am saying or even why I am saying it. I wish to honor truth. In the process I am trying to get others to see our society as the abomination it truly is. People often get hung up with this idea of creating an anarchist utopia when they are approached with the reality of the state. I had the same problem. I only saw the answers the state provided. I could not look past to the reality of what the state truly was or to how we could function without it. Some are accepting to the criticisms but are not willing to take that final step towards anarchism. I am fine with that. I consider many of them anarchists and allies in our fight for truth. There are many of them that do not see a stateless alternative, but that is not as nearly as important as seeing society for what it truly is.
As I present the steps to a stateless society through my writings, I also tear down the society we live in. To help others reject the lies they have always been told is an important part of our evolution to statelessness. As I have pointed out in my short description of how to obtain anarchy, the first step is education. As people are making actions towards statelessness all around we must continue to educate and reach out with the truth. Is any discussion of anarchism futile or abstract? No, not really. This may seem to be for one who can not yet see the state for what it is, but in the long run it is crucial to counter the dialogue of the statist.
There will be a great deal who reject our conversation. This is to be expected. People will have a hard time coming to realize their lives are built on lies. As we continue we will help each other see the truths that have been denied and kept in the dark for so long. As long as we cling to the lies that justify the crimes of the state we will not make any positive change whatsoever.
My challenge in all of this is to bring the truth to light. What is known by word is not truly known by many. People can hear that there are deaths across the world from the U.S. empire, but it seems that this is not truly a reality to them. It is my challenge to make reality known as truth after so much dissociation from this reality. Not just lip service as a memorized statement of fact, but a true understanding.
