Gonzo Times In Print

I started a project I have been meaning to start for a while. It is the Gonzo Times print Zine. What we will be doing is providing an online PDF for print and encouraging you, our readers to print them by whatever means you have available. I hope you will then distribute copies around your neighborhood. Your local coffee shops, book stores, libraries or any place you can find. I am currently working on selecting the articles I will be including in the Zine. This project has a couple of intentions.

Our first goal is to reach more readers outside of the site. You can help us reach people with our message by distributing copies of Gonzo Times. The second intention is that we may gain some new readers from the Zine. So, please when the first issue goes live help us print and distribute copies of Gonzo Times.

I also was looking for some suggestions from our readers of what you would like to see in it. Are there any features you would like to see regularly? Are there specific articles you enjoyed that you feel would be good in print that may attract readers? Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

EAST CENTRAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE CEREMONY ADDS 70 PHI THETA KAPPA MEMBERS

US Fed News Service, Including US State News March 2, 2007 East Central Community College issued the following news release:

Approximately 70 East Central Community College students were tapped for membership into Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor for two-year colleges, during the spring induction ceremony held on the Decatur campus. go to website east central community college

Membership in the prestigious organization is by invitation only and requires a minimum 3.5 grade point average.

New members of the honor society and their respective hometowns include the following:

Also honored at the ceremony was Richard E. Mayo who received the Shelby Harris Alumni Award. Mayo recently moved to Decatur following a distinguished career with NASA. He was presented the NASA Exceptional Service Medal in 1988. Mayo is a charter member of Theta Xi Chapter, having been inducted in 1954. Ann Burkes, longtime ECCC staff member and Theta Xi adviser with Dr. Harris, made the presentation.

ECCC faculty members Debbie Hammons and Sylvia Wright serve as Theta Xi advisers.
