Cap and Trade PC VS. MAC
We need new fuels. We need green fuels. We also needed many things through history. And history has shown us what impatience gets us with legislation we pass with TARP and bailout etc..
What do computers and green energy have in common? Both are industries of the future. We know this. Now if we look at computers we see how affordable they have become. We are seeing little laptops for under $300 pop out now. If the federal government stepped in and forced Apple computers on everyone in the early 80’s we would be paying thousands more this day. But because the market fought and competed and evolved freely we see many affordable worth while options.
Now Green fuels, Cap and Trade etc…
These are efforts to capitalize off of legislation without the innovators like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. It will take the Next generation of Gates and Jobs to make the change, not legislators in D.C. There has to be competition, trial and error. Forced legislation will leave us paying for products that are not ready and extremely high prices.
Now when Al Gore invented the Internet and Global Warming we all know he did so to legislate and grab more political power. When the legislation of Cap and Trade is introduced it is simply a new tax and way for government to gain capitol. It is robbery. It does not actual get rid of pollution it makes a profit from it. That is great. Something is bad, let’s make money off of it. And when the Fed is making billions from it do you think they will want pollution to disappear? No they will want their money.
Government is not the answer. Innovation is.
Lower regulations so people are not hindered and they will be able to come forward with new products and companies instead of passing legislation to support these companies now aiding them in growing bigger and blocking the small time innovators. Bill Gates ran Microsoft out of a garage look at it now. Would someone be regulated to the point that they could not create the new clean energy out of their garage? Government is what is standing in the way. It will in the interest of profit and lobbyists and special interest.
Say no to Cap and Trade. Say no Federal Government we don’t need you, we’ll do this ourselves.
