You Are The Problem

stiener_lift_1_large-300x225We all consider ourselves personally responsible.  The problems that exist in society is never our fault, but the fault of the other guy, the other group or the other people.  Well, if everyone is the responsible one, and everyone else is to blame then who is to take responsibility?  Well Government of course.  That’s the American way now.  If problems exist the government handles it. We pass legislation and we take money and make laws to make others act right.  If the problem was not addressed and it was taken control of by government then I have news for you.  You were not personally responsible.  A part of personal responsibility is being the one to take charge and take care of a problem.

If we are personally responsible we will begin to eliminate the need and presence of government without legislation.

Legislation only adds to the problem.  It does not make a problem disappear.  Money is not an answer to issues that exist, so government was never the answer, only a new element in the problem.  Now the problem eats up money as well as adds new road blocks and elements legally since government came in.

Let’s look at you.  Yes you.  I don’t care who you are, you can be me and you is you who is reading this it is also anyone that should be reading this.  You is every American citizen, since I am focused on U.S. politics.

I oppose government.  It is wrong for one person to force themselves on another.  It is wrong in cases of rape, taxes, and regulation.  Imposition is imposition.  There is no necessary evil, there is no freedom or liberty that is taken without harming someone.  Now there are ethics, and the country lacks in ethical substance.  Let us look at the drug issue.

Is it good to use drugs?  I do not believe so.  I oppose drug use, and I have seen the damage they can do.  I have also seen the damage to people and money the government does because of their War on drugs.  You can not enforce ethics by regulating them, they must be embraced by an individual.  If a person is addicted to drugs they do not need to be put in prisons, or attacked by police as criminals.  If a person has a drug problem they need the support and help of people in their family, friends, and community.  Do we give that?  These peole have addictions,  struggles.  This should be addressed like a sickness or the illness that addiction is.  It should not be done so by the government.  It should be done first within family, then within friends and if those two fail, or do not exist we should help as a community.

Do you stop to take care of people on the street? Do you have excess you do not share with those that go to the government for “their share”?  Have you opened your home to a family that is going under looking at section 8 housing?  Do you give time to the resources out there that need help to take care of people that are in need?   If we are personally responsible we will begin to eliminate the need and presence of government without legislation.  We need to eliminate the “need for government” by action, this will begin to make it easier to eliminate their presence.

A Week In the Life of a Homeless Family Click to read.

Who will take care of the crack baby?  You will.  Not someone like you, but you.  Who will clean up prostitution? You will, by eliminating demand and by helping the women in need.  Who will eliminate drug related gang violence?  You will, by helping the addict and eliminating the demand for such products.

To throw money at it in an attempt to appease your conscious does not solve a problem it will just make you feel good.  You have to get your hands dirty.  Problems can be fixed.  We can eliminate the perceived “need for government” by taking ourselves out of the equation.  We can change things excessively by being personally responsible by not looking the other way.  We can face problems and challenges around us by not resorting to white flight suburbanism.  We can eliminate problems by not running from problems, poverty, injustices, racism, victimization, and addictions.  We can get involved and truly begin to gut out the government.

But unless you are personally responsible we will continue along a path where people will insist on taking another man’s meal to feed the one in need instead of giving freely of his own.  Feed thy neighbor, not rob thy neighbor to feed the neighbor in need.

jeffersonI believe in laissez afire capitalism.  I have seen how government is just another form of organized crime.  I have seen governments justify victimization and ethical rape.  As long as we force ourselves on others nothing will be cured, we will cause a greater divide, and will begin to resent one another.  If we get to know those in need we can begin to help them and allow them to help us.  If you keep stashed away in the wealthy white flight suburb expecting everything to be taken care of for you then you are the problem.  So, watch TV and complain on the left and the right about the other team while you allow government to dictate your life, or assert your freedom, and display some personal responsibility.

You pay your bills, watch your TV, and have an opinion of why you took care of yourself as freedoms dissipate.  Independence comes with a price, we have to work for it.
