It seems the right is not progressive in terms of the women's movement and the left is only concerned with sex-positive feminism (in terms of pro-porn=free speech) and radical abortion rights. Often, neither side reflects a genuine valuing of women and in the example you have shown, both can both be driven by masculine values and subtle misogyny. Politics often fall short of the feminist ideal. We shouldn't be surprised, considering just how much of the world's political powers are bound up in the patriarchy!
