Media Serving Republicrats

BeckCrying_1f6ab copyThe White House has spoken out against a News Channel that is critical of the Figure Head and the current administration.  Some are calling it a war.  It seemed to be only one comment so far.  Most main stream television news channels seem to embrace the administration at face value.  This was not the case with the Figure Head and the last administration.  It seems that the party lines have been drawn in the media.  There is the Right with Fox and talk radio, and the Left with CNN, MSNBC, and the majority of print publications.  The attacks come from both sides of this all so American concept of Left vs. Right.  Then there are those of us who can not stand this Left vs. Right farce.  We have little to no voice or representation in congress, or the media.  We are stuck the ones who are crying out here on the internet trying to reach the population with a legitimate alternative.

Fox seems to be a little more friendly to a limited amount of the libertarian voice.  They have given John Napolitano a voice on the internet and also have recently picked up John Stossel.  The Judge represents a constitutional voice and the more conservative libertarian, and John Stossel seems to be mostly representing a free market concept of the libertarian perspective.  Then the left libertarian and many others are still out in the cold.  We are not lacking in a variety of elephants and donkeys.

It is nice to see at least the internet is giving us a voice.  With great news outlets like Reason.tv and the Cato Institute we are being given an opportunity to reach the country with our philosophies.  The libertarian philosophies are diverse.  The Republicrats look at libertarians with many of their preconceived prejudices and often lump us in with the side they oppose without ever understanding what it is we believe or represent.

So here we sit.  We Libertarians are stuck in this desolate wasteland of statists and those who would only wish to continue on with a broken system.  Few want to fix this system, only build upon this mess.  Few question the way it works they only make more proposals to add to this defunct corporate bureaucracy.

CNN attacks opposing views with insults and vulgar jokes never taking any libertarian perspective into account.  It props up the left and uses subtle deceptive practices.  Just this week when Olympia Snow decided to become their new hero she was labeled as a democrat on screen with a (D) after her name despite the fact she is a Republican.  They make certain they point out the party of a Republican when they mess up or do something they disapprove of, while often conveniently not mentioning the party of the Democrats who do the same.  Seldom have they truly questioned the actions of the current administration.

MSNBC has been deceptive with recent reports.  Do we remember the recent incident with the gun and race?

FOX is often the voice of the Neo-Con.  They tend to cling to Neo-Con opinion shows.  They like to cover up for their big sponsors like Monsanto.

Is there even such thing as Journalism anymore ?  I have come to accept that Journalism will always be done through someone’s world view.  I am beginning to see that this is something that is almost impossible to escape.  This has the let and right screaming liar every time one perspective comes from a different world view.  This whole thing is polarizing.

Now, back to the White house story.  Fox has blown the story up to be a war.  I do see issues with these officials attacking their opposition.  Opposing the Ruling power is necessary for every administration.  Opposition to the ruling power is necessary always. The Figure Head likes to come out and call people liars.  This is based on rhetoric. The Figure head claims he wishes a certain end result from actions, and despite the opinion on what steps he takes to achieve this end result if it does not instantly agree that those steps reach that result he will call you a liar.  Well this is nothing more than the left and the right calling each other liars for their world view and the left calling the right liars because the right has some concept of economic reality.  It’s all disgusting.

So, we have the country with tunnel vision tuning in each day to be told how to think as a good liberal or a good conservative.  They tune out all other perspectives and only follow their media leaders.  I watch this happening and it only makes me more confident in my decision to no longer own a television.  I had a bad habit of screaming at news and screaming at C-SPAN just watching the morons do their thing in congress.

If the Government opposes FOX, I figure they must be doing something correct.

Now for the call.  We Libertarians will not get the free press or support from the main stream media like the Republicrats.  This means we libertarians must be active in presenting alternative views.  Like when Ron Paul came out to support Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader, Chuck Baldwin & Bob Barr we must promote alternative parties and views.  We must make the change because the media will only minimize the views that are not theirs and support their own Republicrat agenda.

This is not just to the libertarian, this is to the progressives, the anarchists, the communists, the socialists, the constitutionalists, the green party and all others.  We must begin to seek out alternative sources and minimize the power of the press.  Until the press can speak the voice and concerns of the people and not just support the establishment we have a problem.

How will we get our candidates, our issues and our voices out there? We have to be heard. We must become louder and louder until they can not ignore us. So go out there be as loud as possible and to not embrace a compromise with the right or the left.
