Jack Hunter a Hope for Conservative Media
Feb 12, 2010 Gonzo, PunkJohnnyCash Blog
If more conservatives sounded like The Southern Avenger then more conservatives would be getting my vote. Like many other Socialists, Liberals and Conservatives I can find more common ground often on many issues with them over the booming Statist voices of Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck.
I first voted Libertarian in 2000. I was fed up with the two party system. I was finding a political philosophy strongly influenced by John Stossel on 20/20, Robert Nozick and others like them. At that time my political philosophy was in it’s infancy. I had an extremely Liberal professor who liked to question the conventional wisdom and the patriarchy. I believe those things together really started to get me questioning the 2 party system and what seemed like acceptable political alignments in this country. I did not have the internet at first to find like minded individuals so I had to create them where I went. I ranted and told others my philosophies slowly gaining like minded individuals that way.
The media was not going to promote Libertarianism over the Two Party system. In 2004 I had my Badnarick bumper sticker on my car and was proudly supporting the Libertarian candidate. It seemed like a loosing effort. Everyone was in the dark about libertarianism. Then something wonderful happened. Ron Paul’s Campaign.
Wasted Votes: GOP victory in Massachusetts, Oh My!
Jan 20, 2010 Anti-State, Current, Fear And Loathing, Gonzo, PunkJohnnyCash Blog, Senate

Brown the establishment GOP candidate won in Massachusetts. Many are excited. Prior to the election, The Tea Party group was telling the Libertarian Party candidate to drop out so that the Democrat could be defeated. I am furious. They see this as some kind of great victory. I tell you it mattered not if the GOP or the DNC took that election. The GOP brought us here. If you really see salvation in the GOP you are somehow having selective amnesia.
Is this what the tea party was all about? Preserving a patriarchy and establishment GOP resurgence? Take it! You can have it! I am not always completely behind the Minarchy promoted by the Libertarian party, but it is at least not more GOP. The only wasted vote in this country are the votes thrown on those who hold power. Support the green party, communist party, constitution party, or the socialist party before you support those who hold power. This goes out to the left and the right. No change will come from this patriarchy that has stood for over 230 years. Do not support two party duopoly. It is time we stooped serving them. I will not pay my dues to the Republicrats! I am ashamed of every one of you who spoke of “small government” and supported the system with your vote.
Many say if you don’t vote you have no right to complain. Well I say if you keep voting for these Republicrats you have no right to complain! You are like a dog returning to it’s own vomit.

Let’s Tax!!!
Jan 14, 2010 Gonzo
I am now supporting taxation! I have a new idea. We should just take every sales tax, sin tax, property tax, income tax and the whole nine yards and put it on one bill. This Should be paid by every voter and at one time. Yes! Voter! And we should do this in November, on election day. You can pay your tax right before you get your ballot. You will walk up in the line and as you hand them the check they hand you the ballot.
Just imagine people paying anywhere from 30% to 60% or higher of their annual income at one moment then receiving their ballots. I think the people may think twice about how many wars they want to fight and just how much they feel they want government. I am 100% for this.
I wonder how many likely voters we would have? If the government were up front and honest like this they might just cease to exist. Government would quickly run out of money and support. I love it. I say we push this one.
The DMV Helps Itself

The power of the state oppresses. We’ve all dealt with the terrible monopoly of the DMV. The DMV operates on a completely government controlled market. The man this recently happened to wished to remain anonymous, so we will call him Bill. Bill’s had two cars, a wife and rented a little house. He had a van and a car that sat in the driveway because he could not afford to fix the vehicle up to the standards of the state. The state mandates required an inspection for function before he could put tags on the car. You have to pay the DMV the state said so.
One day Bill’s wife left and took the van. Bill found himself facing the financial burden of a divorce. In order to pay for his basic needs and the other demands now being made of him bill found himself driving the unregistered car to and from work. He was then pulled over

Health Care “Reform”

The health care debate is still in full force, and while there is strong support and opposition to the reform being proposed in Washington, we can all agree that health care costs are a burden on a large portion of American families. The important point to realize, though, is that the legislation being proposed is simply more of the same, an expansion of the status quo. The health care industry is rife with government intervention in the form of subsidies and over-bearing regulation, so it’s hard to understand how the proposed legislation, which calls for an enormous amplification of that intervention, can be heralded as “reform” or “change”. Ten years down the road, when health care costs continue to spiral out of control, health care “reform” supporters will be scratching their heads, wondering why their solution didn’t work, and pounding the table for the government to come to the rescue.
The Afghan War: “Why and to What End?”

US Troops in Afghanistan
A Washington Post article today makes an account of a Marine Corps Captain, Matthew Hoh, who resigned his post in protest of the war in Afghanistan. He states:
“I have lost understanding of and confidence in the strategic purposes of the United States’ presence in Afghanistan…I have doubts and reservations about our current strategy and planned future strategy, but my resignation is based not upon how we are pursuing this war, but why and to what end.”
I find this story heartening. After 8 years, thousands of American soldiers dead or wounded, and hundreds of billions of dollars spent in Afghanistan, we have accomplished virtually nothing, and have in fact, made our political situation in the Middle East much worse. Unfortunately, our interventionist foreign policy will likely keep us there for another 8, or even 80, years. War is a great tool for controlling people, confiscating both their wealth and freedoms. I would like to see more military men and women stand up for America and her interests in the manner that Captain Hoh did. I do not blame our soldiers for America’s destructive foreign policy, but the simple fact remains that their compliance with it makes America’s pursuit of this type of interventionism possible, and with it, individual liberties in America are eroded away daily.
The State Marriage and Homosexuality
Oct 21, 2009 Gonzo
Some issues I take a stance on that may not be a pro or con. I am neither pro-choice nor pro-life in the abortion debate. It seems that debate is too complex to take a stance on either way. The religious right would say that I am pro-choice in my personal views and the far left would say that I am with the pro-life camp. I do however believe that it is not an issue for the federal government. That is my only official stance on the subject. I do not believe the Federal government can make those decisions for us. I am not writing about abortion however. I am focusing on homosexuality and marriage.
I am an extremely liberal individual at times. I am not speaking of liberal in the sense of the statist Democrat party verses the statist Republicans. I have liberal stances on many things. This however is not something that I feel belongs in the political arena. If one is liberal or conservative that is fine, it can be a person’s choice.
Media Serving Republicrats
Oct 14, 2009 Current, Fear And Loathing, Gonzo, Politics
The White House has spoken out against a News Channel that is critical of the Figure Head and the current administration. Some are calling it a war. It seemed to be only one comment so far. Most main stream television news channels seem to embrace the administration at face value. This was not the case with the Figure Head and the last administration. It seems that the party lines have been drawn in the media. There is the Right with Fox and talk radio, and the Left with CNN, MSNBC, and the majority of print publications. The attacks come from both sides of this all so American concept of Left vs. Right. Then there are those of us who can not stand this Left vs. Right farce. We have little to no voice or representation in congress, or the media. We are stuck the ones who are crying out here on the internet trying to reach the population with a legitimate alternative.
Inflation is Theft (and you are getting ripped off)

Over the past century, inflation has taken root in peoples’ minds as an inevitable fact of life. Inflation is seen as a monetary phenomenon that must be kept in check and controlled as part of managing the economy, a task that should be left to the experts. This fallacy is perpetuated by a barrage of propaganda that emanates from governments and central banks in an incessant attempt to conceal what is really going on. In reality, inflation is deliberately created as a means to siphon off the wealth of the populace to the benefit of those in power.
Political Stockholm Syndrome in the U.S.

I sat on the couch last night reading Fear and Loathing on the Campaign trail 72 and the words of the great Doctor Thompson once again touched me. Not in that Dirty old drunken Uncle Sam way where you feel his warm breath on your back as you fearfully prepared to be violated, but in that spiritual eyes opened awakening kind of way. Who would ever want to be in DC? I lived there for a while, and the city is wonderful. Baltimore is wonderful. The East coast is a unique place, but to live and work in the Den of Harlots that is our legislative branch, who would want that? What does it offer?
These are Dogs. They are the worst types. These people who want to go to this place and live their life in conflict and turmoil. Don’t tell me they do it for us. I know and you know perfectly well they do it for self gain. Money, power, and influence. These are megalomaniacs. Now here is where you republicrats fall short. You think that the one that blows smoke up your ass and tells you what you want to hear is different. We all can look at these guys voting records and see otherwise. You all think that the one you voted for cares about you, and is not a greedy bottom feeder. That is wrong. That is more idealistic, naive, and foolish than anything I have ever promoted or proposed.
