Prison For your Political Views: UPDATE
Feb 10, 2010 Anti-State, Libertarianism, Philosophy, Police State, Politics
UPDATE: It appears the facts of this story are in fact about 30 years late. This bill may be in the process of being repealed. The law is reality, only it has been an existing law since the 70’s, so this is nothing new or recently passed as assumed in the article. The facts of the law are all still relevant and true.
Yes! You can be placed in prison for your political views in South Carolina. The strength of the Police State continues to grow. The future looks grim. Independent Institute pointed out an article on The Raw Story: No joke: South Carolina now requires ’subversives’ to register. South Carolina did it. They are demanding that Anarchists and others register with the state. Let’s see you oppose the state so the state says you should register with them. To do what? To exist? To think? Let’s see:
They are calling it the Subversive Activities Registration Act. It is found under Title 23 Law Enforcement and Public Safety Chapter 29. Apparently they feel that law enforcement is on par some how with public safety; this could not be further from the truth. Now your political views are seen as some sort of menace to public safety? It is our views and philosophy that will have a future impact on the existence of the State. Yes, the truth threatens their control and ability to take from us or force themselves upon us. The Oppressor must maintain it’s power over the oppressed. The state sees a growing threat. Freedom can not be tolerated by the state.
The bill defines a Subversive Group as:

The Obama Deception
Jan 22, 2010 Corporatism, Libertarianism, video
I don’t know what to think about the Bilderberg Group. I am an extreme skeptic. I have a hard time believing conspiracies. This movie has been out for a while and I have gone back and forth on posting anything about it. I am doing so mostly to see what people think of it and the ideas in it. I do not buy the New World Order conspiracies, but this movie has had me baffled. This is the stuff that gave many with similar views as mine a bad reputation. This is the tin foil hat stuff. Now there are some good elements of truth in here, but I have a hard time believing all this conspiracy stuff. I believe politicians are corrupt for personal gain. I believe greed has more to do with it than a secret group or Illuminati. That being said I want to put this up to get some feedback. I would love to hear your answers to some questions I have on this.
- Is there anything we can get from this?
- Is it all crazy tin foil hat stuff or is there more?
- Is there some power over the U.S. president?
- What is legit here if anything?
- How do you see this and what do you think of all this?

This was originally found on Liberty Pulse here. It is a must see. If you don’t have time now, then bookmark it, or save it for when you have time, and show it around.
Update: I updated this with the official Hulu version. It has a better picture quality and you don’t have to go from video to video.
Also the full article accompanying this from John Stossel can be found here.
You can read the article Freedom Foundation of MN Investigation: The Obama Administration’s Serious Conflict of Interest here from the Freedom Foundation of Minnesota here.
And you can see where we covered the Big Tobacco Story back in September as it was happening in our article Government & Phillip Morris Corporatism at it’s finest here. John Stossel has expanded on that showing how Phillip Morris gained something nuts like 30% increase in their stock by this move.
A Case For Self Governance: High Fashion
Jan 10, 2010 A Case For Self-Governance, Anti-State, Libertarianism, Philosophy, Police State
This is not about government control this is about the redundant responses people give me when I say I oppose all government. I am going to talk about a world where the government came in and took over all clothing manufacturers and began to be the sole provider of clothing. What was created was two wasteful bureaucracies to create low quality clothes at a higher rice subsidized by our taxes. We will call our new government agency the Government Agency for Clothes Control (GACC) You get essentially K-mart quality for Armani prices. Fashion will be frozen. Any advancements from creativity and modern inventions in fashion will cease. This will freeze the clothes we wear as the government sees necessary. Now, I am not painting this illustration to show why I oppose government control, but to show the flaws in the many arguments for government control.
Now in this new system I will begin to say we need to abolish the GACC. This will lead to people screaming “You want the poor to go naked!” or “How would we get clothes?” and ” Why don’t you like clothes?” I have nothing against clothes. I wear clothes. I have never seen a naked homeless man in America. There are systems of charity and compassionate individuals who give gloves and coats at Christmas. I want clothes.
Punk Johnny Cash wants your help

Many that read this are anarchist and free market individuals. I am looking to you and others. I am asking for your help for some of the basic opposition questions. What about the roads? What about crime? We have looked at the non-necessity of government and now we will start to focus on alternatives. Readers out there please post links to articles and help me delve into new ideas.
We are looking for not only free market and anarchist solutions to issues of society, but any concepts that are resolutions to any ills of society that are outside of government or that embrace self governance. I am going to write about new concepts to replace old and would love to see what is out there. Free Domain Radio has many I would like to delve into. How many of you out there can point me to ideas I may not be aware of?
We could be addressing crime, welfare, poverty, murder, war, roads or any issue that is often thought of by the masses as a job for Governments. Please leave links, and ideas in the comments. Also, do not be afraid to use the contact sheet to contact me.
Thank you all…
Fire Bernanke! Libertarians, Socialists and Liberals Unite!
Dec 4, 2009 Federal Reserve, Libertarianism
Bernie Sanders is once again on the right side. I am not a socialist and I do not agree with most any form of government, but there is a great deal of good to be said about this self proclaimed socialist. Bernie Sanders has a defined political stance and he sticks to it. He sticks to it for what he sees as the benefit of us citizens. Ben Bernanke is up for a another term as chairman of the FED, and after all he has pulled I think congress is so vile and corrupt that this man will be placed back in the FED.
Update 12/07/09
Liberty Maven put up a post here pointing out that Bernie Sanders has a petition out to get rid of Bernanke. Please check out his post and go here to sign the petition.
Update
It looks as if Republican Senators Vitter, Bunning and DeMint have all placed holds on Bernanke.
The DMV Helps Itself
Dec 3, 2009 Anti-State, Fear And Loathing, Gonzo, Libertarianism, Police State
The power of the state oppresses. We’ve all dealt with the terrible monopoly of the DMV. The DMV operates on a completely government controlled market. The man this recently happened to wished to remain anonymous, so we will call him Bill. Bill’s had two cars, a wife and rented a little house. He had a van and a car that sat in the driveway because he could not afford to fix the vehicle up to the standards of the state. The state mandates required an inspection for function before he could put tags on the car. You have to pay the DMV the state said so.
One day Bill’s wife left and took the van. Bill found himself facing the financial burden of a divorce. In order to pay for his basic needs and the other demands now being made of him bill found himself driving the unregistered car to and from work. He was then pulled over

Urgent Action needed to save H.R. 1207
Nov 3, 2009 Anti-State, Corporatism, Federal Reserve, Libertarianism, Police State, PunkJohnnyCash Blog, Senate
I received this in my in box from Audit The Fed .com and I thought it would be good to put this out there and pass it around so here it goes:
Urgent Action Needed
Dear Supporter of Transparency,
You and I face our biggest challenge yet.
Mel Watt (D-NC), Chairman of the Monetary Policy Subcommittee, has sided with Fed and is working to gut substantial audit provisions from HR 1207. The bill Congressman Watt has sent to the full Financial Services Committee contains no audit of the Fed’s monetary policy-making authority or transparency of the Fed’s secret agreements with foreign central banks.
Without these provisions, a so-called “audit” of the Fed would be worthless.
Something Scarry For Halloween
Oct 31, 2009 Corporatism, Current, Libertarianism, video
One of the most frightening things this Halloween is that Peter Schiff & Ron Paul are called the crazies and are not listened to and Ben Bernanke is in charge of the country’s currency. When we look at these videos I ask you why on earth would Bernanke be in charge on anything and why would Schiff or Paul be marginalized.
