Latina Wisdom Sotomayor! Listen Right Wing!
I am taking no stance for or against Judge Sonya Sotomayor. I am taking a stance on the “Color Blind” concept of race. Guess what those of you on the Right, there is race, people are from different ethnic groups and if you can see out of your “Color Blind” glasses you can see that they are also different colors. Being racist is not ignoring one’s difference in culture, race, or gender. Race, gender, and culture do have an impact on how you see the world in general. It does have an impact on how you understand, and how you perceive a situation. Being a white male judge does not make you exempt to a cultural bias that you have grown up knowing. White male is not “normal” it is just mostly what the Patriarchy is full of here in the U.S.
White flight suburbia seems to be threatened when the differences are brought up or pointed out. Why is white suburbia so afraid of Latina wisdom? Why is that racist? Why is it racist to realize what your race or culture is? Now if you are one of those racists who scream “Illegal Immigrant” and “Learn English” don’t bother reading this because you are beyond reaching with this little blurb, I’ll deal with stuff like the KKK in a later blog. Or wait… I thought the civil rights movement was in the 60’s.

Car Czar Steve Rattner & Rahm Emanuel Get Rich!
Jul 14, 2009 Corporatism

Steve Rattner had to step down after it was brought to light that he was profiting off of bribing other areas of government. I would like to know why this was not questioned when he profited off of his bribing the current administration. I guess it is more acceptable the higher your corrupt friends are. This is an excellent display of the absence of laissez-faire Capitalism that so many are led to believe we had that destroyed the economy.
Now Rattner steps down after restructuring an entire industry to fit the Corporatism we are jumping into. The Federal Imposition Pushed people out of jobs, and staved off the much needed bankruptcy after giving a good deal of money to all these players. Wow they just got real freaking rich and we lost jobs. This is kind of how Rahm Emanuel works. He helps the administration in restructuring these much needed junk mortgages, leaves, makes billions, and returns to clean up the mess.
Now it’s just a question of when good old Steve decides to come back and profit at our expense off of the syetem he structured. Enjoy the success you stole with your power Steve.
An Open Letter to the Federal Government
Jul 11, 2009 Corporatism, Politics, Satire
Dear Government,
We would like our money and resources back so that we the people can do what you said you were going to do with it. We would like to feed and house the less fortunate. We would like to cure diseases. We would like to repair the roads. We would like to fix the economy. We would like to create new forms of energy. All the tasks you have taken our money to accomplish you have failed in doing, so we feel it is time you were fired and we took control of these issues.

War creates absolutely nothing. War can use resources, and money can be spent on those resources, but in the end it provides nothing but destruction. Every resource spent in was has failed to replenish itself because the act of waging a war in itself is an act of destroying and lending nothing to the people of a nation and nothing within itself to the economy and prosperity of the nation. In a case such as world war two, The United states saw prosperity only from a shift of wealth. Since the destruction of the war was primarily overseas then shifting wealth spent on the war to the United States, and the women and minorities were finally employed while funds came in from exporting goods to other countries. This left the European countries devastated. The United States escaped this fate because it was not the target of the devastation, but the profiteer of all the other nations. In the case of the Seven Year war France was led to debt to pay for the war and chose to resolve this through taxation of it’s people. In the Case of the Iraq war the United States was left to find resources from other sources such as borrowing, debt, and eventually finding a way to pay for all of this.
Sarah Palin, Feminism, and the Left
Jul 5, 2009 Social Issues, feminism
I am not one to chime in on the gossip side of the political scene. I must speak slightly about the gossip here for I see something I oppose in this. I am speaking of Sarah Palin, and all the news over her in the last year. The Left claims to be pro feminist and pro woman, yet they have shown otherwise with Sarah Palin. She is anything but a feminist, and anything but a woman’s right advocate. Yet, amidst this I see attacks from the left on her “motherly” skills with her children, comments on her hair and dress. How is attacking a woman on these grounds constantly not displaying sexual stereotypes?
